The idea behind an interior dressing makes a lot of sense and is far less pompous than it may sound. It should serve as a protectant for your interior trim, keeping them looking better and cleaner for longer. That isn't to say an interior dressing is a cleaner, but rather, like a car wax, it treats the surface in a way that stops UV degradation and dust from accumulating.
However, Duel Autocare has combined a cleaner with an interior dressing to create its Satin Interior Detailer. As we discovered, this alleged all-in-one is a fantastic cleaner with a wonderful scent. But isn't quite so good as a protective dressing because it only really has the anti-static quality to fight dust settling. Satin Interior Detailer doesn't protect against the big one: UV.
Verdict: A very good interior cleaner but less impressive interior dressing.

What's good?
The convenience factor shouldn't be nonchalantly brushed aside as a nonissue. Having a cleaner and dressing in one makes a big difference to time-saving if you care about interior detailing. But beyond that, and looking at Satin Interior Detailer (we're going to refer to it as SID) as a cleaner, it's very impressive.
The areas of plastic trim on which we tested SID were smeared with fingerprints and a bit of muck. This handy spray removed it all easily. The application process involved spraying SID onto a microfibre cloth and wiping the surface.
As the colour of the solution might suggest to you, SID has a citrus scent. It's wonderful to the point of being addictive. All you want to do is sit in the car afterwards, enjoying the musk. SID scent doesn't endure for very long but it's something that makes the cleaning process a lot more pleasant.
What's okay?
Duel Autocare says SID has a satin OEM finish, which we thought was pretty minor. Allegedly you can choose to leave SID on the surfaces or buff it. Frankly, the results are basically the same. There is a satin finish to treated surfaces, but it's perhaps a bit underwhelming. If you're after a proper matte or glossy finish, there are better options.
If you've got quite greasy panels to clean, a second dose will be needed. After doing so, there is no greasy finish to any panels.
Any negatives?
Given this is supposed to be a dressing as well as a cleaner, the lack of UV protection is a biggie. UV degradation is the main threat, or at least one of, to interior trim. Therefore, a protective dressing really ought to combat that.
The result is that SID is outclassed by most other interior dressings around. Gtechniq C6 Matt Dash and Angelwax Enigma Internoare better protectants, for example.
