Aaron is a Commercial Content Writer for Bauer Media's automotive hub, looking after the affiliate content side of the two automotive brands, CAR and Parkers.

He is responsible for reviewing and short-listing products from car care to books and leisure. His day-to-day role is guiding readers on which ones are worth their weight and which ones fall short of expectations.

Aaron joined Bauer in the summer of 2023 and has since dug deep into buyer's guides, testing, and ensuring that the content you read is fresh, accurate, and up to date.

He has rather a lot of hobbies to talk about. From tinkering around with old cars to skiing quite rapidly down slopes. He loves most things automotive and winter sports-based and is as handy at ice skating as he is at writing.

Writing

During the rough COVID years, Aaron graduated with a BA in Journalism at the University of Lincoln and topped himself up with a prestigious MA in Automotive Journalism from Coventry University in 2023. He joined Bauer shortly before his main dissertation was due.

On the side of his studies, Aaron has been typing away about cars since he was 16 years old. His words made it to a handful of automotive sites from Auto Express to Drivetribe in previous stints. From Alvis to ZIL, he has tapped into the stories of them all, down to a Triumph.

Cars

Naturally, Aaron has quite a hankering for the things. Generally speaking, anything old and German really gets his heart strings playing. From the bank vault-like doors of an old Mercedes to unscrewing the boot-mounted toolkit of an 80s BMW, it doesn't take a lot to please Aaron and his inner car geekery.

In an ideal world, he would have an armchair finished in a Porsche Pascha pattern and in the same shape as a 928 front seat.

Aaron's buying tips for readers are

"Just because something has a strong brand name attached to it, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best thing available. If you can, it's always worth trying something out for yourself before making a purchasing decision. And if you can't achieve that, extensive review reading is worth it as well."

"Although we subconsciously hate it, reading the manufacturer's instructions before using a product is always worth it. Without doing so, you may run the risk of not getting the best out of it - and that's never a great way of spending your hard-earned cash."
